Leicester City Are A Good Example - Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger says that Leicester City are a “good example” for other Premier League clubs. The Foxes sit three points clear at the top of the table after a stunning start to the season saw them lose just one of their first 17 league games, at home against Arsenal in September.

“I think it's great to see Leicester doing do well,” the manager said. “You always ask me, ‘Why do you not buy a big-name?’ but Leicester is a fantastic example that football is not only about just spending the money.

“It's the quality of work and it's important to think that the quality of the work can get you there. Leicester are a very good example for our league. The advantage they have until the end of the season, apart from our fans and the City fans and Tottenham fans, is that the rest of the country is behind Leicester.”

Arsenal face Leicester later this month but first Wenger will be hoping his side can return to winning ways in a “vital game” at Bournemouth on Sunday.

“The Leicester game is only important if we do well at Bournemouth,” he said. “Of course, for us it is a kind of a quick response needed. We are conscious that it is a vital game. That is the game for me, more than the Leicester game.
