De Gea - Cech Is Outstanding

Petr Cech
Man United goalkeeper David De Gea has hailed Arsenal’s “outstanding” Petr Cech ahead of Spain’s clash with Czech Republic next week.

Cech, 34, joined the Gunners last summer after 11 years with local rivals Chelsea and the Czech Republic no.1 has had an excellent first campaign with Arsenal.

The 34-year-old played in 34 Premier League games keeping 16 assists, this record resulted in Cech pipping De Gea to the Golden Glove award.
And with De Gea set to lock horns with the Arsenal star in Spain’s first game at Euro 2016 on Monday June 13th, the Man United star has been hailing his counterpart.

De Gea told Marca:
“He is a great goalkeeper, the best. I have a good relationship with him because he has shown me that, besides being an outstanding goalkeeper, is an exceptional guy, a great person. “I like to face him and to see him in France. ”
Furthermore, along with Cech’s 16 clean sheets, the 34-year-old also made 75 saves and had a distribution success rate of 90%.

Meanwhile, De Gea, who finished fifth with Man United, kept 15 clean sheets and made a total of 76 saves as the Red Devils often depended on him being in top form for most of the campaign.

Furthermore, the Spain international had a better distribution success rate than Cech as De Gea recorded an accuracy of 93%.

The 25-year-old, however, still has to fight with Iker Casillas to be Spain’s number one and it remains to be seen who Vicente Del Bosque chooses to be his number one in France.
