Wojciech Szczesny Wants To Stay At Roma

Arsenal are confident of agreeing on the deal for Serie A giants Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

Highly-rated Polish international star has been in stunning form during his season-long loan spell, but his future at Emirates remains up in air.

Reds Goalie confirmed last month that Gunners and Roma were in private talks over his future.

After Italian giants Had snapped up Brazilian stopper Allison for £5.7m, it was thought that Polish star would return at Emirates.

But, latest reports from Britain suggest that he could be loaned to Roma’s rivals Fiorentina.

Szczesny took a swipe at Emirates when he claimed to have learnt more at Roma than during his 10 years in London.

He said:

“If I stay at Roma, it’ll be the opportunity to grow and improve even more.

“If I return to Arsenal, I’ll make use of my experience.

“I learned more in four months under Spalletti than in 10 years in England.

“He puts a lot of importance on playing the ball to feet.

“One day we trained for over 45 minutes just on goal kicks.”

The arrival of Czech international keeper Petr Cech last summer has forced Szczesny to leave the club in order to play first team football.
