According to Daily Mail, Japan international striker Takuma Asano is closing in on a move to Arsenal,
The 21-year-old forward who has won four international caps for his country has confirmed approach from London-based club, adding that interest from Premier League giants took him by surprise.
    “I was a little stunned. But I feel like I have the confidence to succeed wherever I go”,Asano was quoted.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima forward is highly-rated in his country and is regarded by Arsene Wenger as the future star as Arsenal boss continues his search for boosts in striking department.

Having seen his attempts to land Jamie Vardy rejected with England international signing a new deal with Premier League Champions Leicester City, Arsene Wenger was believed to have turned his attention to Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, whose £45 million price tag is a major put-off.

Arsenal boss will nevertheless continue to explore options as he intends to bring in a more proven striker to support Olivier Giroud next season, but in the meantime Takuma Asano appears to be a done deal.

Wenger is believed to be close to securing a deal for the 21-year-old Japanese, who should be announced as new Arsenal player in the coming days. Asano is expected to be loaned out to gain first-team experience before returning to Arsenal at the end of 2016-17 season.

Takuma Asano played 75 games for his club Sanfrecce Hiroshima, having netted 20 times in the process.
