Update: Emery Gives Latest Info On Sokratis Knee Injury Against Everton

#COYG Great Monday morning it is from over here, four consecutive wins, 12 points in the bag, 6th on the table and eyes on the next match. I will be going out on my daily business with my head held high and I'm sure Arsenal fans all over the globe are feeling the same way right now after our win against Everton. Arsenal fans will be sweating about Greece International Sokratis Papastathopoulos who will be having a scan today to ascertain the extent of his injury following an early substitution in the win against Everton.

Sokratis may be out for some time depending on the extent of his injury. Having played every minute in the Gunners first six matches of the new season, he was replaced by Rob Holding in the 39th minute of the encounter with Everton at the Emirate Stadium after feeling some discomfort in his right knee.

Sokratis has been proving the doubters wrong as he has been ever present in the heart of Arsenal back line, having formed a partnership with German International Shkodran Mustafi. Arsenal fans are feeling uneasy as it's feared that Sokratis maybe out for long, with Rob Holding ready to replace him should the injury be serious.

Arsenal will have four matches before the International break and Sokratis not been 100% will be a problem for Unai Emery as club captain Laurent Koscienly is not yet fully back after he sustained an Achilles injury back in May.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery speaking after the win at the Emirate told reporters that he doesn't know how serious the Greece International's injury is but doctors will check him on Monday.

Unai Emery told Football London
We don’t know now but it’s his knee. The doctors will wait until tomorrow, but I hope it’s not important.
Arsenal faithfuls hope it's not something serious as losing the Greek star will be a huge problem for the team so finger crossed he can make a quick recovery and get back into the starting XI
Sokratis maybe given a breather in Arsenal's next encounter with Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, hopefully he will be back for our match with Watford during the weekend..
